Authentication and Authorization¶
In Harmony Controller, Provider admins create users and manage authentication and authorization for the users. By default, user authentication and authorization are managed by Harmony Controller locally. When Harmony Controller manages this process, data such as access privileges and session information is stored locally in Harmony Controller.
Harmony Controller supports remote authentication providers. Provider admins must update the user profiles on the remote server and configure the server information in Harmony Controller. Harmony Controller does not store any user data locally when the user is authenticated by the remote server.
