Secondary IP Address Management

The Secondary IP address management feature enables users to list, add and delete secondary IP addresses on a network interface of a virtual Thunder device deployed in AWS, Azure and OCI public cloud environments.

The feature support will be primarily for Thunder VMs orchestrated from Harmony Controller and will not support pre-existing virtual Thunders which are deployed in AWS, Azure and OCI either using cloud infrastructure portal or external automation workflow and are registered with Harmony Controller for management.

Note

The operations for Azure may take up to few minutes to complete.

Viewing Secondary IP Address List

  1. Click Infrastructure > Orchestration > Virtual Devices > by selecting image_reference Secondary IP Address.

On triggering this operation, Harmony Controller will connect with cloud-platform and fetch a list of secondary IPs associated with the selected interface. This operation is real-time and on-demand. The data is not preserved with the Harmony Controller.

  1. The Secondary IP Address Management page will have Virtual NICs listed in the network interface drop down. User can select the interface to fetch the secondary IPs.
