Dashboard

Provider dashboard displays the utilization, device location, alerts and events and inventory information. The top level statics displays the following information:

  • Critical or All Notification - Number of alerts that are generated with severity at three or above versus total alerts in the last three minutes.

  • Active Devices - Number of up devices versus total number of devices registered with Harmony Controller in the last three minutes.

  • Unprovisioned or Total Clusters - Number of clusters that have not been provisioned to any tenant versus total number of clusters registered to the provider.

  • Connection Rate - Average rate of connection closure over the last three minutes.

  • Throughput - Average throughput of upload and download traffic averaged over the last three minutes.

  • Log Rate Utilities - Average rate of log processing by Harmony Controller expressed as a percentage of the total capacity assigned to the provider.

Drag and set the timeline window to view the analytics or from the drop-down menu, next to the bar, you can set to last 6 hours, 24 hours, today, yesterday, last 7 days, last 30 days or also specify using a custom range and click apply. You can set a time to refresh the page or also opt to set auto refresh off.

Note

4.1.1-Px series Thunder does not support log-rate feature, hence chart dependent on them will not show up the data.

Session Settings

By default, your session ends in one hour. You are prompted five minutes before the session ends. By extending the session, you can keep monitoring the real-time analytics and data without having to log in frequently.

To extend a session

  1. In the Session Expiring dialog, click Continue session. Alternatively, click the User profile icon at the top-right of the dashboard and then select Session Settings from the list. The Session Settings page opens.

  2. In Session Duration, click 1 Hour, 24 Hours, or 72 Hours.

  3. Click Extend Session.

Utilization

Utilization displays the log rate capacity, device license, Harmony managed bandwidth and Harmony managed devices.

  • Log Rate Capacity - Displays the used log rate processing capacity expressd as a percentage of total available capacity given to the provider.

    Note: In certain cases where log rate on Thunder devices are set there are chances that Thunder might send little higher number of logs. Due to which there are instances where the percentage utilisation goes above 100%.

  • Device License - Displays the percentage of all device License bandwidth used versus total available to the provider.

  • Harmony Managed Bandwidth - Displays the percentage of all Harmony device management License bandwidth used versus total available to the provider.

  • Harmony Managed Devices - Displays the percentage of all Harmony device management License bandwidth used versus total available to the provider.

Device Location

Displays the geographical distribution of devices for the provider.

Alerts and Events

Displays the time series bar chart of the number of alerts and system events over the selected time range. You can filter the alerts and events by severity, warning, notification, debug and information.

Inventory

Lists all the manageable objects and their summary details. Click image_reference and you can enable or disable few statistics to display in the table.

You can view either cluster or device inventory by clicking on clusters or devices.

Viewing or Configuring the Audit Logs

To view or configure the audit logs for Controller, Thunder or license follow the below steps:

  1. Select a Provider and click Analytics > Dashboard > Audit Log from the bottom panel or click Monitor > Audit.

  2. To view a particular category audit logs, click either Controller, Thunder or License audit logs.

  3. To view a particular audit log in a particular category (for example Controller), you need to expand the log for detailed information.

  4. You can filter the audit logs, by setting the appropriate filter category available using the search bar option.

  5. You can set the date range, using the option next to the search bar and also set the auto-refresh option on or off.

  6. To export the logs, click on the export icon next to the search bar to export them to an excel sheet.

Note

Supported ACOS version for audit log feature is 5.2.0. Download logs within the selected time range and configured filters as CSV file. The number of logs is limited to the latest 10,000 logs.

To view the sequence of events follow the below steps:

  1. Select a Provider and click Analytics > Dashboard > Event from the bottom panel or Monitor > Event.

  2. You can filter the events, by setting the appropriate filter category available using the search bar option.

  4. To export the logs, click on the export icon next to the search bar to export them to an excel sheet.

Viewing the Workflow

Workflow provides the status whether the particular task was successful or not which assists the user in troubleshooting. To view the detailed workflow follow the below steps:

  1. Select a Provider and click Analytics > Dashboard > Workflow from the bottom panel or Monitor > Workflow.
