Device Cluster

Device clusters are physical hardware that gets registered to Harmony Controller. Device clusters consists of one or more devices, and each device will have it’s own users and their partitions. During device registration process all these objects gets registered to Harmony Controller.

Tenant to Device Partitions Mapping

For tenant to device partitions mapping follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Log-on to the device in the terminal, check the Harmony profile and Register Thunder device (4.1.4-GR1 and above) to Harmony Controller. If the device is registered, you see a message “Device registration is partially done, please go to Infrastructure page of Harmony portal and map Device Partitions into Tenants”.

  2. In the Harmony Controller User Interface, create a tenant by clicking Organization > Tenants.

  3. Click Infrastructure > Clusters and go to your device cluster.

  4. Click on Tenant to Device Partitions mapping.

  5. Select the tenant from the drop-down list.

  6. To map the unmapped partitions to a particular tenant or all tenants, select and click Map Partitions.

    User should be able to see the analytics or data once the mapping is synced with the devices successfully.

Individual Tenant to Device Partitions Mapping

For an individual tenant to device partition mapping follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. In the Harmony Controller User Interface, create a tenant by clicking Organization > Tenants.

  2. Click Infrastructure > Clusters and go to your device cluster.

  3. For a particular device cluster, you can change or create a tenant mapping by selecting Change Tenant Mapping.

    User should be able to see the analytics or data once the mapping is synced with the devices successfully.

Unmap a Tenant

To unmap a tenant follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Click Infrastructure > Clusters and go to your device cluster.

  2. For a particular device cluster, you can unmap a tenant mapping by selecting Unmap Tenant.

    User will not be able to see the analytics or data once you unmap the tenant.
